When you strum with a pick, the notes of a chord never hit at exactly the same time. There's always a tiny rake. Great sound, but it's not the only one available to you.
This week I'm showing you what I call the claw: plucking triads with three fingers moving together, so every note lands at once like a keyboard player. It's the sound behind a lot of the playing of both Mark Knopfler and John Mayer, and it works with any CAGED shape you already know.
