If you only watch two sections, make them "Holding the pick" and "The three rhythmic grids." Getting the pick right and knowing whether a song lives in eighth notes or sixteenth notes is most of what makes strumming click.

Your homework: pick a few songs you love and count along with them, first in quarter notes, then eighth notes, then sixteenth notes. One of those grids will feel like home for the song. Once you know the grid, any strum in that grid will work.
